“Excellent experience at Vandergiesen Dental. Dr. Lance is extremely conscientious, professional, and clearly cares about his patients and the quality of his work. Kirsten was my hygienist and she was outstanding — caring, gentle, professional, and very pleasant throughout the visit. The entire office has a welcoming atmosphere and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommend!”

There isn't enough room in this box to comment all of the wonderful people at Vander Giessen Dental. From Dr. Vander Giessen being one of the most talented, skilled, kind, caring human beings my husband and I have ever met, to his equally awesome staff, you will be hard pressed to find another dental group to outshine this wonderful group of dental professionals. They are and have been a God send to our family. ❣️

Patient Review

I saw Dr. Michael Oswald for over two decades and was always treated with friendliness, respect, professionalism, and consideration by him and his staff. When Dr. Vander Giessen replaced him after he retired, I assumed the practice would adhere to the same standards and values. That was not my experience. Dr. Vander Giessen insisted I spend $2000-3000 on periodontists A YEAR, on top of his fees, and refused to even consider or try cost-effective alternatives, such as PerioProtect. On my last visit, Erin, one of his hygienists, carved out -- literally -- a crater behind one tooth already experiencing root recession that took over six painful months to heal and still traps food and is ultra-sensitive. Also, despite telling them I'm autistic, he allowed his business manager, Shawna, to repeatedly and loudly chew food on phone calls with me. (Many autistics like me have "misophonia," which is an intense, involuntary, fight-or-flight emotional reaction [rage, anger, or disgust] to hearing people chewing or other unpleasant sounds.) Combined with her overall surliness and unfriendliness (and their refusal to stop making me deal with her), dealing with this office became extremely distressing and disappointing and not worth the time or emotional/ financial cost.
